Riding lessons

Small groups, more time with the instructor.

Boarding

Two levels of care, one barn family.

Full care

Offered in our main barn, where every stall has a covered run attached. Full care includes feeding twice a day, watering, turnout, and daily stall cleaning.

Partial care

Your choice of a stall, a covered run, or a large pen with shelter. We feed in the morning, and turnout is available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday if you want it. You're welcome to turn your horse out yourself any day.

Stoneridge Acres is a private facility. Come visit by appointment and we'll show you the barn, the pastures, and the arena.

Show team

From first lesson to national titles.

Our show team is made up of riders who own or lease horses and compete in Western, English, and timed events. We show locally, regionally, and nationally, and many of our all-around riders have earned national titles and high-point awards. Riders learn sportsmanship, discipline, and how to win and lose with grace.

A young rider in a pink helmet rounds a barrel at speed on an Appaloosa. A smiling child in a white cowboy hat and sparkly show shirt holds up a rosette ribbon. A horse and rider clear a jump in the indoor arena. A rider in a black hat stands with her Appaloosa and a championship trophy.

About Stoneridge

A temporary endeavor, 33 years on.

"We thought the barn would be a wonderful place for the kids to grow up. So much for temporary."

In 1993, Kathy McKenzie bought the stable as a short-term project after leaving her engineering career to raise her children. What began as a small venture became a year-round, family-friendly facility that has shared horses with hundreds of kids and adults.

Riders here range from people who ride for pleasure to those who compete at the highest levels. Beyond riding, students pick up sportsmanship, discipline, hard work, and resilience, along with friendships that last a lifetime.

We welcome horses of all breeds and people of all ages and skill levels. If you'd like to become part of the Stoneridge family, we'd love to hear from you.
